African immigrants community in Massachusetts overall numbers are growing – roughly doubling every decade since 1970, as a result of the growing the family size and the youth becoming adults it becomes essential the American environment of stimulation the need for this way of organizing.  It is important for this population to come together and organize in order to either assimilate into American culture or integrate in respective communities.

African immigrants organizations vary greatly in size, SAYPA will unite these organizations, show the African immigrants’ worker rights, access to higher education and civic engagement. SAYPA understands the challenges the African immigrants’ community is facing, one of it is the existence of language barriers. Although African immigrants youth and their parents are American and aware political system, they have little political power today, SAYPA will change that in nearly future.
